So what to use as background for this picture then?

Since the forum itself changes its width depening on the screen-resolution, there are now two pictures running: the black-red-black-flag and the mainpicture with black-red-black/mechs/logo

I personally don't like a head which does not fluently fill the whole horizontal space

But I like your main-logo with the international =)
